ETHNOGRAPHIC EXHPOSITION
LOCATION: Brezno, Slovakia
YEAR: 2022
TEAM MEMBER: Ing. Arch. Anna Šidlovská
The peasant craftsman house of the Roštár family is a representative example of the street development and the way of living in Brezno. The aim of the assignment was to create a modern interactive ethnographic exposition dedicated to the life and culture of the people in Horehronie. The idea works with the original fragments. We preserve authentic materials, plaster and wooden floors as memories of a family and the place, reported the changes in time. The visitor is not a passive consumer of visual sensations, but becomes an active discoverer of space - a follow-up, smoothly passing, open. Still, he wonders what will appear in the next room.
